Dear Dhamma Friends,
On Wesak Day, Buddhists all over the world commemorate the Birth, Enlightenment and Parinibbana of Lord Buddha.
This thrice-sacred day is a religious festival where Buddhists gather in a nearby Vihara to reaffirm their faith in the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha to lead a noble religious life. It is a day to rejoice, meditate and to radiate Loving-Kindness.
An item of significance that is offered at the Vihara is Light – a symbol of knowledge and dispelling the darkness of ignorance, of all negativity as in craving, violence, lust, anger, envy, greed, fear and suffering.
We invite all our Dhamma friends to be a part of this great celebration by sponsoring lights in your personal capacity or in the names of your family relatives, and friends or in memory of your departed loved ones.
May you cherish and share the merits of these offerings for yourself, your family members and for the well-being of the many.
This year in conjunction with the 100 years – Centenary Celebration of late Chief Venerable K Sri Dhammananda, BMSM is organising an exhibition which takes us on a journey spanning six (6) decades since its inception in 1962.
“The Dhammaduta Journey in the footsteps of the late Chief Reverend” will be launched on 29 May and ends on 10 June 2018.
We look forward to your kind presence on the eve and Wesak Day and during the entire duration of the Exhibition.
If you would like to offer/sponsor any of the above items, please download the attached form and be guided accordingly.
