Dear Dhamma friends,
Kathina/Robe and Requisite offering is a traditional ceremony that has been celebrated by Buddhists during the month following the end of the Vassa (the three months’ Rains Retreat). During the ceremony, lay followers make a special offering of Robes, Alms Bowl and allowable requisites to members of the Maha Sangha.
This ceremony is a very happy, warm-hearted time for celebration. It is a time to come together, focusing on the single act of generosity of offering the Robe and other requisites.
This year, devotees will have the opportunity to offer Robes and Requisites to members of the Maha Sangha from other Centres and Bhante Mahinda who is observing his three (3) months Vassa (Rains Retreat) in Samadhi Vihara.
If you wish to make the offerings, please refer to the attached sponsorship form.
